Her Excellency the Governor by way of SRO 35 of 2024, has appointed the first day of October 2024 as the date on which the revised list of voters for the electoral district of Montserrat comes into force.

This list comprises a total of 3,464 registered voters broken down as follows:

Following the 2019 general election, the BIMR Observer Mission recommended for consideration the introduction of mobile or postal voting in order to facilitate the right to vote of persons with disabilities, the elderly, and those in hospitals or other institutions.

As a result, the Electoral Commission has implemented this recommendation to facilitate the voting of eligible people in His Majesty’s Prison, the Care Homes (Golden Years and Margetson), and the Hospital.
